Un matériau écologique

L’acier est un matériau 100% recyclable, il peut être réutilisé à l’infini, sans perdre ses qualités initiales.

Cette aptitude a pour avantage de préserver les ressources naturelles, en évitant de puiser dans les réserves de minerai de fer.

Par ailleurs, une structure métallique permet une bonne gestion de l’énergie. Plus une ossature est légère, moins elle nécessite d’énergie pour la chauffer. Les bâtiments acier ont une faible inertie thermique et sont donc faciles à chauffer. Combinée à des solutions d’optimisation énergétique une charpente métallique améliore considérablement les performances thermiques des bâtiments.

Une grande souplesse architecturale

L’acier est un matériau léger mais très robuste. Il permet aux structures métalliques de supporter des charges importantes tout en conservant leur légèreté.
